Recording update

We're happy to tell you that Cato brought Enslavement of Beauty guitarist Tony Tunheim over to my house last Sunday. Perverted amounts of coffee led to him shredding two guest solos for our new album. In case you didn't know, Tony is nothing less than a guitar wizard, and the results are of course extremely good.

In addition, we have finished recording drums, bass, and rhythm guitars. Saturday was spent recording vocals on four tracks. It's shaping up real well!

Now I need to finish up the last set of lyrics so we can finish recording and send this motherfucker away for mixing.

We’re recording

Hello world! It's been a while since our last update, but here's the breakdown:

Since the release of 'At Least We Will Die Together' in 2006 we had a period where our guitarist Per was very indifferent and not motivated to continue with the band. We didn't fire him because I go back with him quite a few years and was hoping his feelings would change. They did not, at least not fast enough. So eventually I took over his guitar duties. That's why things have been a bit slow over here. There’s no bad blood, no scandals. We’ve all moved on.

At first I was apprehensive about playing guitar while singing, but it has worked out incredibly well. Also, I feel I'm more in touch with the material when we write, and the writing process itself has been smoother than ever. We also did more shows in 2007 than the years 2001-2006 combined.

So what are we up to at the moment? Well, we're currently recording our next album. The drums are done, and right now we're focusing on guitars. We're recording eight songs for the album with a total playing time around 50 minutes. The songs sound huge and they have a bit of a different vibe (to us, at least). We're focusing on groove, dynamics and solid arrangements. Heavier, less technical guitars but some awesome drumming. I'm psyched to hear the songs come alive and I can't wait for our fans to hear this!

If we meet the necessary deadlines the album will be released by Osmose sometime in the fall. More info will come soon.

Eight tracks ready

Well, we’ve been busy the last couple of months. Eight tracks are now ready for recording. All of them currently have working titles so no words to reveal just yet.

We can reveal, however, that we are very happy with the songs so far and we’re simply itching to hear them in their finished form. It sounds a bit different, but Allfaderish.

We start recording drums April 11...now you know!

Oh, and the picture depicts a drummer playing the guitar.

Wohoo...an update!

Server problems, moving house, you name it - everything has stood in the way of updating our website! But - enough excuses.

Since we played Mo in March we have demolished Kristiansand during the annual Southern Discomfort festival. This Saturday we’re taking over Tromsø!

After this weekend we will focus on writing new material.

Last night we played in our home town for the first time in 2 1/2 years! The venue, Helheim, was packed, sweaty and we had one hell of a good time!

We’re really looking forward to playing the Piggtraad Festival in Bergen on Friday.
